“Jo” is a lovely filly out of Holly Bennett’s stunning mare Aud and by the gorgeous Norwegian stallion Myklejon. I was very excited when I heard Aud was in foal and expressed interest in her foal immediately. Holly was kind enough to let me be present at Jo’s birth and we bought her on the spot.
Jo was very unwell with pneumonia when she was about eight months old, which has slowed her growth. She is completely well now and is making up for lost time. She is a very clever pony who learns quickly and sometimes thinks a bit ahead of me!
Jo has been shown since she was a weanling with great success, including in open competition against breeds other than Fjords. She was the 2016 APSB Junior Fjord of the Year, the 2017 and 2018 APSB Fjord of the Year and the 2015, 2016 and 2017 Fjord Promotional Group’s High Point Fjord of the Year.
